I have attended the first two educational sessions of "How To Talk So Kids Will Listen".
I just wanted to tell you that I find the sessions to be profoundly insightful! I am not only enjoying your refreshing sense of humor that you bring to the spot-on! examples, but your explanations of the concepts that you want us to understand are nothing short of revelations!
We have 3 children: ages 12, 10, 8 and although they are wonderful and blossoming into good people, I realize from your sessions how much time we are wasting on lectures and negativity. Your explanation at the end of the 1st session about the importance of self-confidence in children truly hit home for me. I am inspired to be the parent that I have wanted to be for the last 12 years, but couldn't really understand what I needed to work on.
I can only say that these sessions are exceeding my expectations by a million. I wish I had attended your sessions a decade ago. I love your use of volunteers.
I'm copying my husband on this email as I would like him to attend the sessions. I hope to get a sitter and join him as there are so many great pointers, I will need to hear them again!
I can't thank you enough. I will be a better parent thanks to you.
Warm Regards,
Poway Parent
